Nothing like destroying thousands of lbs.of confiscated illegal ivory to make the price go down ; that is what happens when you cause there to be less of a commodity,right ? Why not sell the ivory, with a government certificate, and donate the money to a worthy charity.The governments could flood the markets, actually causing the prices to go down,and decreasing poaching in the process.
My greatest fear is that in the confiscation process, important artifacts will be lost forever .
