I still think these are fascinating as historical weapons, even though modern by the scope of our forum.
As a bit of trivia, I will simply say that while these were the last official pattern sword issued by the army, they were not the last sword designed.
Although production of these ceased with orders in 1918.......there was a protype designed in 1931, but never issued as all swords were declared obsolete and stockpiled, I believe the order was in 1934.

Guess I'll leave it there, and this will become part of the archive
