Hi Harry,

I wasn't to sure whether it was a tourist item or not when I first saw your photos in fact I toyed with the idea that it might be Syrian because of the shape of the hilt, it was Kubur`s comments that made up my mind. I still like it though and reckon given a good clean and polish it will make a really good conversation piece. It was worth having for the story that came with it.
I agree entirely with your last comments and is the attitude that I have always had to my mistakes over the last 50 plus years of collecting.
