Default Indian All Steel Dagger

I recently purchased this dagger, described as: Vintage jamiya with leather scabbard. I would say that it is a poor quality offering with the new made scappard being the best part. The blade is thin and poorly tempered, the handle is poorly and thinly cast with gaps in the joins. It looked more like cast zinc but it is magnetic so assume the handle is steel.
Stats are:
Weight: 3.5oz (0.1kg)
Length overall: 13.25'' (33.5cm) Blade: 9'' (22.5cm)
Profile taper: 1.42'' (36mm) at ricasso, 1.01'' (25.8mm) mid blade, 0.72'' (18.5 mm) 2inches from tip.
Distal taper 0.07'' (1.9.mm) at ricasso, 0.07'' (1.9mm) at mid blade,. 0.06'' (1.7mm) 2 inches from tip.

I didn't pay much for this as I got it together with a rather better katar but i do have a couple of questinos. Is it likely to be vintage or are these still being churned out for tourists and the like? Is jamiya the correct name for this type of dagger as I see the term jambiya used which seems to refer to a more substantial dagger with a pronounced central rib on the blade?
As I say, cheap and cheerful so I won't be upset if everybody denounces it as cheap tat
