A little part part was a problem because he couldn't read it but the main text is from the quoran ; Sura - 12 Joseph ( Yousuf): ..."O my father, I saw eleven planets, and the sun, and the moon; I saw them prostrating before me."
Mr. Maisey: it did originate from Surabaya
So it's a mounted tombak of 3 luk from Surabaya or the region to the west of Surabaya. Its purpose was/is a Jimat or talisman and it's highly possible that it's made from an older piece of wesi aji.
