Hi Multumesc,


Telling by the generally finely wrought and sharply pointed leaf shape and the octagonal outer surface of the socket, I would date this object tentatively to the 2nd half of the 16th c.

In my collection there is a similar so-called frog's-mouth spear, Graz/Styria, ca. 1560, retaining its original but slightly shortened octagonal haft, and all preserved in optimum original condition - see attachments.
