What an interesting belt assembly. And yes, that cartridge is really unusual.
Hmmmm.....Maybe the brass hull and metal were used just to carry powder, or something (?) If it is a live, home-made round, possible used for stunning the target versus killing ? Don't know.
That small bar of what looks like tow for fire starting or use in a muzzle loading gun, is that a lead ball in the bag ?
