i have one of those replicas, bought it just before the sword ban on new curved swords over a half metre went into effect (i panicked). was looking for a replica 1796 LC sabre, but couldn't find one in stock...



actually a fairly well made sword. nice decorator. as noted in the linked review above it's a bit blade heavy.
brass castings on mine were fairly well finished, leather work well done. no cracks noted. blade unsharpened. decorations in fuller laser cut.



i thought it was worth what i paid for it. (roughly the same as in the linked article above, converted to UK £'s)

the ebay one seems to have been fairly well distressed in a fairly crude attempt to antique it. it's been rode hard and put away wet...

i'm glad to see that one in such poor condition is worth so much, mine must be worth at least double that
