Hi Richard,

I beg to differ but I do not think that the side-nail washers on Cornelis' beautiful gun are actually of ivory. In 99.99 per cent these inlays consist of either mammalian bone or of staghorn which means that you can use a Canadian cow bone or something else of native provenance to rebuild the piece
