The intials sometimes identify army base,armoury or indeed unit.

Can you do a close up of the ss & number ? so I can see the nature of what type of stamp , that made the stamp.

That sometimes adds a little info.

That is as close as I can get with my camera. I thought that pic was OK. That is what the S S ) 3 7 4 looks like. I haven't seen markings like these before.
