I speak Jawanese, but mostly ngoko, and very little kromo.

I recommend you search the topics related to fighting with keris, and I believe we have a few, then you will get a better understanding of what a keris Jawa means to a Jawanese as far as fighting is concerned. Also, there are plenty of posts regarding Malay keris philosophy.
