Hi all,
followed this Pata on eBay....unfortunately the bidding got a little 'rich'...but I had reservations about its age. The guard seems to be 'artificially antiqued'.....I am not saying it definately is....but that is my impression from the images.

The blade 'mounting plates' also look to be weak....especially with the length of blade.

I do like these..

..they almost verge in the 'fantasy' category.

Was this a 'good' Pata or was I right to be suspicious
