Kinda furious about this one. The owner posted this on eBay a few months back and listed it as a Spanish/French influenced dagger, believing it was from Louisiana because of the design. He purchased this item from an auction with no background info. From the markings it is obviously from Aguinaldos 1st Republic of the Philippines. A high ranking officer or generals dagger. I was all ready to pounce on this one...and then the seller ended the auction early. I contacted the owner and even spoke with him over the phone. Turns out he ended up selling the dagger outside of eBay. argh...

So...did any one of you grab this piece?
