Default More pirate...

Here are some clay smoking pipes from the late 17th-early 18th c. Their clay stems started out long, but were slowly broken off over time as the sailors reused them. Note the almost egg-shape of the bowls on these, which correspond to the earliest types in antique journals and dig sites.
