For sale is this outstanding shield from Halmahera, Molucca. The inlays from MOP all still present, only one big is missing half, a other one is cracked, the patina is dark in the back from decades of using and glossy at the handle.
The shield is approx. 70 cm long, 13 cm broad at the ends and 6 cm in the middle. At one corner is a small older damage, I think that this are rat bites.
