Thanks for your observations AG....I could not agree more that there is no "perfect term" for this blade style.

The analysis of the hilt and kepet making perfect sense in pointing towards Madura, especially when considering Maduran keris hilt and fittings styles.

I think if is fair to say that there may be a variety of influences at work here, and that is precisely why I find it so appealing.
