I have to admit that I'm not overly fond of that thread.
I'm an oldfashioned "one piece one thread" guy: This helps to keep the discussion focused and it's also much easier to locate specific info later on. Nothing wrong with adding pics for comparision to a given thread but if any of those pieces warrants a discussion of its own then this should be done in a separate thread IMVHO.
Much of the valuable info in this forum got solicited by "What is this?" or "Hey, look at my new toy!" type postings. While it may be possible to offer two subfora (one for such show and tell threads and another for more "academic" or comparative threads), I don't see any benefits from such a move, especially since there is no clear cut-off between any such categories.
I'm looking forward to hearing more comments!
