I'm glad this sold BJ, and I wish could have bought it!!! As I mentioned, I always thing of the pair of these I sold many years ago, as I remembered them (mournfully).
To whoever purchased this....you have obtained a valued piece of the history of the Raj, and recalls the colorful units of Native Indian Cavalry who likely used these.
This is an important item as a distinct link between ethnographic and regulation military weapons and would I think be an interesting topic to post of the forum.
