Hello to those who like Chinese swords-
There was a request recently for some antiques and I thought I could let go a few things in my collection. If you are interested please email me at
stoutjs@gmail.com.
These are the swords for sale. A few of the ones pictured are already gone, but there are still some nice ones. The last two pictures are of a minor accident.

Starting with IMG_7970 through 7977 is a Qianlong period yanmaodao blade with Mogul style fullers, an intact tunkou and a lovely patina. There are some minor edge chips as shown as well as general signs of a long life such as shallow worn fullers. Price $300.
The next duan dao is on hold pending a sale.
Then 7985-7986 is a liuyedao (willow leaf dao) with a blade in excellent condition with a decent though scratched polish and a bated edge. The handle fittings are later matched antiques and a new wooden handle. The protection scabbard was cracked and repaired by its previous owner with some clear packing tape as shown. Here are some photos of the blade before restoration:

Price $600.
The last duan dao (7987-7996) is a typical Qing military short sword. The scabbard and most of the fittings are original. I think the guard has been replaced. The inserted edge and differential hardening are clearly visible, but hard to see in the pictures.
Price $300.
I hope you enjoy the photos, and I am happy to answer any questions.
Thanks,
Josh
