Cleaning Up My Thai Dha
Hey guys! I came on this website a while back to find out some info on my newly purchased Thai Dha. (see attached)
Basically found out from the pro's that this piece is probably a high quality Aranyik piece, most likely functional, complete with a rare teak scabbard and quality metal blade w/ etchings. Is the blade for sure steel?
Either way, I am looking into cleaning up and refinishing the blade. Are there any cleaning techniques or cleaning products that will help remove the oxidation and small rust deposits??? I have used a few metal cleaners & polishes; they have done a decent job, but I am looking to get rid of the tough grit off without damaging or scratching the metal. Please help!

P.S. Does anyone have pictures of similar swords? Trying to nail down the region of origin (thinking Thai / Cambodian border)
