The top one is a filet knife as you know. Made by Martiinni of Rovaniemi
Finland (also maker of Rapala brand filet knives). They have their blades
made in France and Germany.
The second one is a miniature puukko type commonly used for wood carving
and by women for sewing work. I'm not 100% sure of the reading, but I
think it is by Iisakki Jarvenpaa of Kauhava, Finland. They are one of the
oldest and largest producers of Finnish puukko.
The "big brother" seems to also be a Jarvenpaa although I can't see
the maker's name, the style and the type of engraving on the ferrule
is typical of Jarvenpaa work.
The handles on both Jarvenpaa are stacked birch bark.
Besides Japanese swords, I also collect puukko. Have about 150 with only
two duplicates. They are GREAT knives and much under appreciated IMHO.
