I would have to agree it is unsuitable for such a purpose. However if used as claimed would result in a slow decapitation process with hacking to the spine. I've butchered enough wild beasties to know what works.
Past ancestors with good intentions developed provenance for some swords. Some are accurate, others in left field. However the story does evoke the mysteries of the past which is most interesting, and who doesn't like a good story?
