Direct inspection means a great deal when trying to ascertain age and authenticity, and if you had doubts about this one from such an inspection then that is important information too.

All I said was I had my doubts. I did not mention that this sword was put together to deceive etc I could not place it and so stayed away. It might well be a unique gem and that's fine by me.
