Default Correction to my example posted

Well I might have gotten something right....it IS a souvenir from Viet Nam,
however my example is a DAAB, not cutlass etc. and not used in krabi krabong but a sword dance called RAM DAAB. ...Siam/Laos.

As noted, the correction very much appreciated.

The is a bit dejevu as years ago we had this situation with the Omani straight broadsword that has long been called the kattara. As it turned out these were not battle swords, but a sa'if used in ceremonial dance performance in the traditional Razha festivities.
