Odd European piso padang
Nice solid example this, which I got yesterday, along with "Cut & thrust weapons" by Wagner...what a book!!!
Blade is interesting as it seems to have a laminated effect in construction and a blunt edge for a good 3inch after the guard. Looks like local construction in that way but stamped under the langlet is "D. Peres" From what I can find on them, they were a German cutlery company better known for knives.
Anyone have any idea if they were trading with Sumatra and when?
