THE SHIPIBO/CONIBO TRIBES DO HAVE SOME VARIATIONS IN THEIR CLUBS PERHAPS REGIONAL OR VARIATIONS OVER TIME.
#1. THRU #5. SAID TO BE CONIBO CLUBS CIRCA 1900'S RANGING IN SIZE FROM 140 TO 135 CM. LONG AND 14 TO 18.5 CM WIDE THERE IS SOME DIFFERENCE I THE TIP FROM THE SHIPIBO FORM AND ONE PICTURE IS OF AN UNFINISHED CLUB. THE GRIP AREA IS NOT PICTURED WELL ENOUGH TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY VARIATION THERE. ONE EXAMPLE IS AF A VERY ORNATE FORM LIKELY TO SHOW PRESTIGE IN THE TRIBE AND FOR CEREMONY.
#6. & #7. SHIPIBO, PART OF THE CHAMA CULTURE EARLY 1900'S PERU,130 X 11.5 X 3 CM. AND 152 X 15 X 3 CM.
#8. WAS IDENTIFIED AS SHETEBO TRIBE, FROM THE BAJO UCAYALI RIVER, PERU, 1900'S, 131 X 17.5 X 2.5 CM. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS A DIFFERENT GROUP OR A DIFFERENT SPELLING DUE TO REGION AND TIME.
