Default Yemeni Jambia.

These are remarkable since they are obviously put together by the same craftsman and I would say they are old ...in the 80 to 100 mark ...The discs are interesting and give a very pleasant effect but note that some discs carry exactly 33 pins...33 being very auspicious relating to the short number of words for God and reflected in 33 beads often carried as a religious item (the full number 99 but short form is respected as 33) The rivets to the rear are identical and the flower heads are the same ... The master who put these together probably did so at the same time. As an added treat here note the material used on the hilt is Rhino in my view...typical of the Yemeni tradition. There are no splits as such indicating the material is not wood... but the wear is quite intense prompting me to consider an even earlier date.
