Thanks Ken I was thinking that your idea would suit me also but I think in my case I would need to sort out a way of holding the blades in place. It is possible in the future that the swords in your holder might change if you find different items which you want to display, AND your good lady lets you have the display on the wall! I think your design is excellent for wall mounting in an X fashion.
