This looks like a super piece to me. Not at all unusual with the matchlock ignition,and the trigger is usually placed back towards the butt on these matchlocks due to the simple pivot design. For flintlocks and percussion it is where you would normally expect it to be.

What I think makes this stand gun out from the crowd is the brasswork, most I have seen have been either almost undecorated or the kind of 'wedding gun' decorated with mother of pearl. So this one is a cut above your average jezail, at least in my view. The finer jezails also often have damascus barrels - you could be lucky
