Lovely old pedang or klewang from Sumatra. The style is similar to the pedang, goloks, and klewangs of the Sassak in Lombok. It has a pamor blade, metal encased horn hilt with a stylized makara, and a wooden sheath which appears to be lacquered. Supposedly made somewhere on the eastern Sumatran coast, somewhere between Medan and Palembang.
