Iron cut small sword with golden inlays

I want to show you a nice small sword which is made probably in France around 1750. Its blade with a triangled cross-section is without any decoration. May be there are some comments?

Just for your info. The name of the Grevenbroich gunmaker was not Coeter, but CLOETER :D . I added fotos of a similar pistolwith the two screws in the same position, both fixed the lock.

Perhaps it was a "Grenadier Guard", but normally these long pistols were in use by mounted soldiers and not by grenadiers. Very difficult, anyway thank you for your opinion!

I got this pistol from a friend and think that it was made for the Netherlands around 1720. Unfortunately I am unable to find out what the signature "G.G.N°42" at the thumb plate could stand for....
