The inscription is in cunieform, but this type of writing was used for a number of languages. I see no reason to doubt the antiquity of the item, but admit that my eyesight is not what it once was.

Just to add that AH 1277 is the Accession Date...

Just to add that AH 1277 is the Accession Date ofAbdul Aziz and the actual date of minting is given by the number at the top (in this case 9), so the actual date of minting was AH 1286.
