Hello,
The ivory hilt is in donoriko style from Madura and probably about 100 years old. The scabbard is in Solo (Central Java) style, and the blade looks Javanese.

I don't know if this kris was made for talismanic purpose but this type of short kris seems to be common in South Sumatra, see a similar piece (without naga) with a 25cm long blade of better...

The cross section of the hilt is oval so I am not fully sure that it was originally fitted on a kris, but rather on another weapon.
