Ivory Kris repair

I recently purchased this Ivory Kris and due to poor packaging from the seller, the handle was broken.
I'm planning to have it repaired but thought while I'm at it maybe I could have the other end...

I wanted that first barong so bad, but it went super high. I settled for an ivory Kris a few days later for a fraction of that (and then the beak broke in transit dut to poor packing)

Interestingly, the style I trained a little of used this primarily in very close quarters. :) The majority of the cuts were draw cuts with the elbow so this handle would be very useful.

yours isn't the only one, I got one off ebay some year ago as well with the handle incorrect. Guard was correct but no handle. Fortunately my teacher is a smith and was able to carefully help me...

Thanks! yes I estimated it to be recent as well. In the case of this one, honestly I just liked the look of it for no specific reasons.
I don't typically etch my blades but I may do so on this one.

Partially correct. It is a Tenegre hilt (but not binangon) with a talibung blade.
However, talibung (i misspelled in the thread title) is also a general description of a fighting sword.

Moro Minatures

New Gunong

Picked up this Gunong on ebay this week. Price was nice and I liked the look of it. Blade was OK but dress was nice. Turned out to be quite a sturdy, heavy piece.

Maranao Barong

finally getting around to sharing some pics of the Maranao Barong I picked up some time ago. It is a nice contrast to most Maranao ones I have seen, this one being longer and narrower.
