Obviously Ian you can see that these are not old and have been doctored up just by these original auction pics, :rolleyes: which quite clearly show both pairs to have considerable age and the swords...

For me its a Pesh Kabs but I am no expert, bone hilt and T section spine blade, 40 cm total length, nothing special but an honest piece, age ??. :);)

Grit's !!

For this I will start with 800 grit maybe 1000, good papers and not the rubbish sold on ebay, then take it on up through 1200, 1500, etc etc to 8000 grit and then finish with a talc powder and water...

But, I was not suggesting that the new hilt job would be done in a shop in the west, western shops stock all bamboos and it is not a hard job to do for someone who knows how and there are plenty here...
