The signals on the blade have special meaning, like magic words. They look like Chinese characters, but different.

Now and again, I come across alien weapons at market, I think that's the result of culture amalgamation, which relates to many historical events.

It has something to do with the "old ivory hilt". Both show how the old ivory looks. Usually there are tiny crackles on old ivory.
