I like it! I assume the lighting was most of the cost? Have you considered placing the copper and brass pieces outside to allow them to age some? Maybe there is an accelerated chemical aging process...

I think it is likely 19th C or newer. The lines just look too perfect to me. The base of the pommel appears to be a perfect circle that would only be achieved with more modern equipment.

Thanks for the info. It looks like mine has 7 points so that would coincide with a Baron or Freiherr.

A google images search turns up lots of examples but nothing too close.

Thanks for all the info Dirk! I see some of the blades you posted also contain the eyelash marks which we know to be Italian. It seems the marks on my blade are more common than a simple smith mark....

Long central spikes (one spike with some damage to the tip). Langets repaired. I think maybe Swiss, around 1600? Hafts that appear old but not original. Selling as a set. Could use some cleaning....

I hate to say it but I think it looks modern. Holes that appear to be drilled with a machine, the thick and heavy blade, hammer marks look similar to other modern forgings. Just one persons opinion...
