Looks like a nice3 1920s Magunindanao kris. I would clean the silver - silver was meant to shine.

Also, if you cleaned the blade, re-etch it to have the laminations come out.

I would use wood, but it is the carving that stumps me and what it should look like.

I got this rencong made of ivory, laminated steel, and low carat gold with enamel. It is 17 inches overall.

Also I had to take the rust off and re-etch the blade.

However, I've seen colonial ones made in the Visayas like this. The hilt is more Visayan, so perhaps cross cultural stuff is going...

It does look Luzon, and this might explain some crudeness in blade engraving vs European work.

Occasionally there are triangle profiles in Filipino blades, probably...

The hue tells me either swassa or swassa plated. Not copper, but a 9k gold. I've handled lots of swassa and even once made swassa looking just like this.
