Yes, this is what I meant when I refer to swords of the more animistic groups in the Philippines prior to having such a heavy spanish influence on their blades.

I believe the Kampilan posted by Carlos however is of Visayan origin. I am not sure if this is a tourist made one or a kampilan from a time before the coming of the Americans (or maybe even Spanish)...
