Thanks for all the info. Great stuff as usuall. Here are some details the fellow sent.

The edge is sharp, it has a great deal of flex, at the tip I'd say 3/32 thick and close to 3/16...

Your guess was correct. I checked with the owner and the sharpened edge is the curved one.

the total length is 71 cm
grip is 16 cm
blade is 47.8 cm
Scabbard is 55 cm and has a dragon or lizzard motife
