Interesting piece. the style of decoration is very different to Indian dhals and Iranian Sipars. I won't even try and guess where it's from originally. :)

H. R. Robinson's "Oriental Armour", while somewhat dated, is still excellent value for money.

I also found a nice Polish book, which also has captions in English, on Indo-Persian arms and Armour....
