Its hard to say how old they are exactly, but they sure look nice (and not that new). My advice is look for clues of age; for example, in 50 to 100 years the cover most have been opened a lot. So try...

It is indeed intresting. As mentioned I roughtly estimated it somewhere between 7th and 13th century. As far as I know the details on the tang havent been seen/made like this since the 14th century....
