I searched the site and read all topics about...
I searched the site and read all topics about Piha Kaetta, but it rise more questions, then give answers... Was it a weapon, sacrificial knife, utility knife or just a status symbol? How to date them?

Picked up nice Piha Kaetta on the gun show. All I know about it - it came from Sri Lanka. Can some one give me more info on the subject?

Ivory grip Kukri
Picked up kukri on the last gunshow. Blade is marked "Tempered steel Made in India", so I assume it is post war tourist piece. But is griped with elephant ivory. Also sheath looks much older then...

Yes, sword look authentic to me - some patina...
Yes, sword look authentic to me - some patina only in impossible to clean areas, etc... But this one is the first french blade I see without any proof marks. Maybe it is not french, but some German...

French(?) cuirassier sword
Hi! I have question about sword I found on the gun show. The hilt looks like french M1854, blade looks like An XI. Blade is unshortened and unmodified. The very strange thing - absolutely no proof...
