It is not the classic Masai shield being too short. Certainly an East African shield perhaps as far north as South Sudan. My guess would be mid 20th century.

I would not be surprised if industrial spear heads were made to trade in Southern Africa. This spear could be from many people's of Southern Africa rather than just today's South Africa.

Yes they most often are but there is always variation, the back part is very Ifugao. It could possibly be from a hill tribe India/Burma.
