Afghan? I find it very strange indeed. It is of a typical greek lower quality manufacture, at least the fittings, the blade nicest quality and could be earlier....

Yes, I agree, the "david" strar is ottoma, maybe even caucasus. Reminds me of some shashka blade, but the hilt is persian I think.

I don't think that is a jamdhar katari, but rather a fancy koumya from Maghrib. :) The decorations are also verry typical of north africa. Can you post a better photo of the hilt?

That sword is german made and that is a Pahlavi Crown, and the Lion is the symbol of Persia. The sword has poor engravings ecc. but suitable for a civil officer of some type I would guess. :)
