In fact this dagger if made from a sword blade could be from a blade about 4.5-5 cm wide.
I could superposed this dagger on top of this this Dussage blade in order to have an idea of the geometry...

It is a interesting supposition but in this case because of the shape of this blade the original blade used to made this dagger should be a much more wider blade may be 7 or 8 cm ....

17th Century Sabre with lion head pommel for comment.

Sold as a German sabre but I have also found a similar exemplar sold by Czernys as swiss.

I found in one old thread from Jasper this two pics from two swords with similar pommels from same period ( because of the resolution I'm not 100 % sure but seems to be same polygonal shape...
