This is actually not true. The correct term Gusbi (pronounced Gasabi) refers to a blade type. And yes the style you linked is used by bedouins but its not called gusbi.

Availability. There is alot of old weapons coming out of Afghanistan. These items along with modern ones are plenty in Middle Eastern markets, especially Oman, KSA and UAE. Sometimes in Qatar too.

I like those, the quality is nice, but are newly made in Afghanistan as far as I know. Some are nicer, with all metal construction. The dealers from Afghanistan in Sharjah souq sell these often.
