Yes, quite similar to mine. i'll go with palembang as majority voice here also agree with it. furthermore i went to a well known scabbard maker here and he thinks palembang is alright....

what type of sarung/scabbard fits this keris?

I just got this keris Sumatera(?). It does not have a sarung/scabbard.
I can get the sarung done here -especially the peninsula malay type- but not sure exactly what type of sarung is appropriate to...

i finally managed to take off the mendak from the hilt. not me exactly but this is how it happened. I brought the keris to a few keris and scabbard and hilt makers here and many were of the opinion...
