Did a couple of tests in the lab today - looks...
Did a couple of tests in the lab today - looks like it's iron that has been galvanised with zinc - tested for zinc;50 -75% and red corrosion = iron.
Has cleaned up really well - I'll post some...

Galvanised Zinc
Does anyone know when Galvanised Zinc was first introduced into Africa?
I have been looking on the net and found some things about Kundu and Bakunda which used to be in Zaire which I now believe...
