Hand forged pieces will never be "perfect", and given that blades and hilts seem to have been held separately in arsenals..... ya-gonna-see some odd combinations.

Latest arrival, another Albacete dagger.

Arrived yesterday via a private sale on a forum I belong to, at a price I could not resist. Not really a lot to say about it except that the punched decoration seems very fresh.

I have seen similar brass hilts ascribed to the Bikaneer Armoury as munition hilts for issue tulwar. In India Brass seems to be a cheap go-to for utilitarian wares and items.

New to me, Dutch cavalry sword, Solingen made.

Latest arrival bought via another forum, shabby as all whatever, but at a price I couldn't resist. Sold as a "German made (WK&C) 1876 pattern Dutch cavalry officers sword" which is just what it is....
